Suffolk Dog Day 2011 Helmingham Hall

Our Have a Go ring was easy to find and well serviced with the Suffolk (Display) Ring adjacent - the toilets an easy stroll away- refreshments opposite!  We were also lucky to have the backdrop of the beautiful Helmingham Hall.
The show is held in the grounds normally the deer park. Our first job on set up was to remove as much of the distracting stuff as possible. Graham was clearly helping loads by holding Maisie and Ruth's handbag.
The gazebo in place, our demonstration team of Fiona and Tilly, Val and Max, Sabine and Harley, Sue and Ebony, Ruth and Maisie and Doreen and Molly took the opportunity to warm up in the have a go ring. Talking of warming up, yes we were in fleeces, it was quite chill first thing, much better weather for the dogs though.
From 10.30 am we could see a non stop procession of cars arriving to the show and very soon  our Judges, Julie, Jay and myself were busy talking to the many people interested in Rally and showing them around a simple Pink course.
Our demonstration was at 1.30 in the Suffolk Ring. The teams were first class, giving a splendid example of Rally Obedience and the audience appreciative.
It was a wonderful day!
